AmeriCorps CTEP Volunteer Moblization Committee Mission Statement:Increase volunteerism to 75 volunteers and 3750 hours of ongoing service to CTEP (the Community Technology Empowerment Project) and partnering CTCs/CBOs (Community Technology Centers/Community Based Organizations).
Short Term Goal: Gather data on the current status of volunteerism at CTEP's CTCs/CBOs. Specifically, find out how many volunteers are currently participating and in what positions.
Mid-term Goal: Take an inventory of the need for volunteers at CTEP and all Americorps member sponsoring organizations partnering with CTEP. Have all of these organizations provide the committee with the ideal desired number of volunteers, a work description for each volunteer position, and a schedule including when and where potential volunteers could work.

Long Term Goal: Make volunteering through CTEP easier. Create a website that allows potential volunteers to find organizations and locations that best suit their skills and needs. Develop stratgies to increase the number of diverse and highly skilled individuals such as promoting corporate incentives, partnering with the U of M service learning center, and recruiting from communities served by CTEP's partnering organizations.

AmeriCorps CTEP Volunteer Mobilization

\
We have been looking for candidates to give us a chance to give the non-profits and organizations the best fit; they need to know how to handle their proposed task with trainers and we need volunteers to have a valuable learning experience so they will have gained something for their hard work.
We realize that volunteers very much need to have positive roll models to learn from, it just makes the experience more memorable. So our committee is looking for those fabulous roll models volunteers first. Can you help us with our search? Get into contact right away http://technologypower.org
